Decorating Tips

Are you recently engaged but haven't chosen a wedding date?  Do you want fabulous decorations but are on a small budget?  If you answered yes to either or both of these questions, let these tips from Scenic Springs help you!

If you haven't selected a date for your big day, think about getting married after a holiday or near the end of a season.  This is the time when many decorations will be marked down drastically.  For example:

  • You will be able to find many "Love" themed items on sale after Valentine's Day.  Stock up on red, white, and/or pink items if they are to be included in your wedding color palette.

  • Pick up beautiful items in late Fall when they are reduced to make room for Christmas items. When it's time for your wedding the following year, you will already be set with your decor.

  • Want to have a summer wedding?  Stock up the previous August, after school starts, and when summer items are being cleared out.  You can pickup all of the flip-flops and sun umbrellas that you need to set out as a cute option to offer your guests for comfort during your wedding the following summer.

  • White Christmas lights are a simple and elegant decoration, and these lights can make a beautiful addition to any wedding reception! They can be added around tables, around the cake, or in potted plants. If you don’t want to use Christmas lights, consider lanterns instead, just buy after Christmas to get the most bang for your buck.

Use your imagination and shop around.  By planning in advance, you will have all of the beautiful decorations that you wanted at the right price.
