Caitlin and Oscar
Oscar and I met while working at the Pizza Hut in Helotes. I started as a waitress and he was the Assistant General Manager. He had just gotten out of a bad relationship and I had a boyfriend at the time. I told myself, "I'm happy in my relationship and I'm not going to fall for anyone else!" but I tell you what, I didn't know what happiness was until I met Oscar. After a few weeks, we both just knew that we were meant to be together. Our personalities matched so perfectly that we felt we had known each other for our entire lives. We said our, "I love you's" after three weeks together and 11 months in, Oscar purposed, but not after asking my daddy for my hand in marriage first!
After two years of being engaged, we finally decided to start planning and one of the first places we looked at was Scenic Springs. We immediately fell in love with the sprawling grand lawn and the beautiful mature oak trees. The creek was the icing on the cake for us. We loved how calming and relaxed we felt while listening to the waterfall. The staff were AMAZING and they handled our wedding with such professionalism and grace. The day of our wedding, everything went smoothly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. It went by so fast that I wish I could do it over and over again, and at no other place but Scenic Springs!

Ami and Thomas
Thomas and I met our freshman year at Baylor University. My roommates had invited him to lunch with us and we became instant friends. His outgoing, carefree personality really complemented my more reserved, thinking-ahead way of life. Our friendship built over time, and by the spring of freshman year, we were dating. We dated throughout our time at Baylor and are happy to have so many great memories of college together.
One Saturday in the spring of our senior year, he told me to meet him at 11am to go to the zoo. As I was getting ready, my little sister (who lived in the same dorm, in the room directly above mine), called me and told me she was feeling really sick and asked if I would come check on her. I made my way upstairs and found her in bed, sounding convincingly sick. She asked that I open her window so she could get some fresh air, and as I pulled up the blinds, there on the street below was Thomas on one knee with "Will You Marry Me, Ami?" chalked next to him. I ran downstairs, still with wet hair and slippers, to answer the question with a heartfelt "Yes!" He did such a good job surprising me (it is not an easy thing to do!) and it was so special to have my sister in on it! We planned our wedding to be in August of the same year, about three weeks before he would join the US Air Force.
Our wedding at Scenic Springs was more beautiful and perfect than we could have ever imagined. It was the perfect summary of our lives up to that point, and the perfect beginning of our life together from then on. We loved how natural the setting was and how cozy it made our entire wedding feel. The staff helped make the whole evening run smoothly, so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our wedding was, for the most part, do-it-yourself, and our family and friends' hard work really made our wedding so personalized and warm. Nearly every aspect had been touched by someone we loved, which was probably the best wedding gift we received. All of our loved ones worked so hard to give us the gift of our perfect wedding.
One of the special moments our ceremony had, was prior to the processional my sister and Thomas' brother came out with daffodils (my grandmother's favorite flower) and laid them in the seats of chairs reserved for three of my grandparents and Thomas' grandfather, all of whom had passed away. It was wonderful to have this tribute to them and their memories; we know they were with us during our special day. A unique aspect our reception had was that instead of a guest book, we had a wish tree. This was a little tree decorated in white lights where guests would write out their hopes/advice for us and tie them to the tree. It is really pretty and the papers fit well into a photo album or scrapbook. Another special moment was as we made our way through the middle of our guests, leaving the reception, they all began singing the "Air Force Song" while tossing the lavender cones over us as we left. It really was the perfect way to end our wedding, and start our life together as husband and wife. "Off we go, into the wild blue yonder..."

Chrystine and Brandon

Brandon and I met in college during our sophomore year. He was a Chemistry major and I was a Math major and although we had had some classes together it took a mutual friend to bring us together. After we exchanged numbers and began to hang out as
friends we become inseparable. Soon after that we went out on our first date in May of 2008 and have been together ever since!
Brandon asked me to marry him on November 24, 2010, the day before Thanksgiving. He had a picnic lunch planned for us and was going to surprise me with it all, but after a few things fell through it ended up being us sitting on a park bench eating ice cream! Either way it was perfect to me and I of course said yes. We got married on July 30, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe church with our reception at Scenic Springs. Unlike other weddings, my mom walked me down the aisle, I wore purple shoes, and both Brandon and I wore white.
